MONITORING AND EVALUATION
Relevant Highlights
The world of impact is moving quickly- and the way to measure it is evolving just as fast. For this reason it's important to always think about how value is perceived, captured and expressed. From the field to the board room we all need ways to account for how energy and resources are invested and what happens as a result. Below find highlights of my experience and approach.
REAL WORLD IMPACT MEASUREMENT AND MANAGEMENT //
Experienced Monitoring and Evaluation Design and Application
I have been a part of complex concepting, design, research, implementation, analysis, synthesis and publication in terms of impact assessment - pre, intermediate and post program cycles and feedback loops. Some of the most recent and relevant examples include MIT’s International Development and Design Summit, Sisaket, Thailand, and work with a DSIL Course alum and Deloitte consultant on a monitoring and evaluation impact report for our UN Centre for Executive Education Designing for Social Innovation and Leadership (DSIL Course) blended learning program.
INSPIRED RESEARCH AND TRAINING //
Trained in SROI and tracking the latest Impact Measurement Frameworks
I am formally trained in SROI (Tokyo, Japan) and love tracking the tools and trends - some of the latest comes from the Oxford Impact Measurement Programme - especially in relationship to the SDGs. I have also collaborated with IDEO (M+E quantitative and qualitative hybrid methodology) and Acumen (Lean Data) to share tools and processes for efficient and accurate modes of data collection, sensing, analysis and reiteration through the DSIL Course Virtual Classroom. As a Sustainable Development Strategist, everything I do integrates a design thinking lens and behavioral science approach!
EVOLVING WITH SYSTEMS //
Involved with the global IRIS revision working group
Currently the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN)'s IRIS working group is focused on learning, evolving and revising impact metrics - this is good news as the world is changing quickly- why would good practices stay static? As a part of this group we are working cross sector to reflect on what is working well and what opportunities exist to innovate this space.
